The Role

As a Senior HR Consultant – Fractional HR Lead, you will act as the strategic HR partner for a portfolio of growing companies, becoming a trusted extension of their leadership teams.

You will advise the CEO and leadership team on people strategy while remaining hands-on to ensure initiatives are successfully delivered. 

Alongside client work, you will help shape StartHR's growth by contributing to our methodologies and continuously improving how we support our clients.

What you will do

  • Act as the Fractional Head of People  for a portfolio of assigned clients.

  • Help founders build their HR function from scratch and evolve it as their business grows.

  • Act as both a strategic advisor and a hands-on HR partner, balancing big-picture thinking with practical execution.

  • Design and implement scalable people practices across the employee lifecycle.

  • Coach leaders, solve people's challenges and drive key HR initiatives.

  • Support the continuous growth of StartHR by refining our methodologies, creating best practices and contributing to new service offerings.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, Head of People, People Partner.

  • Experience in both fast-growing startups/scale-ups and more established corporate environments, bringing the ability to adapt best practices to different business contexts.

  • Proven experience partnering with senior leadership teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.

  • Comfortable building HR functions from the ground up while also improving and scaling existing people practices.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for helping businesses grow.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Fluent English and Spanish (French or any other European language is a plus)
